Block Island

Block Island is the most visited place in New England during the summer. It has plenty of shopping and restaurants specializing in seafood. It has many celebrations and traditions such as the Chowder Fest, the Christmas Tree Stroll, and the Polar Plunge. It's great for relaxing on the beach, paddleboarding, windsurfing, and wakeboarding. You can enjoy the ferry or plane ride or you can dock your own boat at one of the three piers or the mooring downtown!

  1. How far is it from Rhode Island? Could someone swim there?

  2. It's 13 miles from coast to coast! It would be hard but someone actually did swim there once!
